Maranta Plant Shop on King Push Milwaukee commences foods trailer Tostada

The well known plant shop Maranta in Bronzeville has sprouted a new organization: a foods trailer called Tostada by Maranta. 

The trailer, which sold out just about two several hours forward of agenda at its debut Wednesday, sells four forms of tostadas and two forms of agua fresca.

The chef is Dominique Alvarado, who previously operated Algo Dulce, selling Mexican sweets: agua frescas, the flippantly sweetened fruit juices fruit cups with sauces and paletas, the frozen pops. Alvarado is companions with the Maranta owners in the new business.

The trailer is open 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. It truly is parked outside the house the Black-and-brown-owned plant shop at 1739 N. King Drive, just across the street from the statue of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
